Why I Stitched to Linux form Windows Operating System?

To get started, the main reason I switched to Linux is something most of you probably know: RAM and CPU usage keep increasing with every version of Windows. From older versions to Windows 11, the bloat doesn’t stop. Every time Microsoft releases a “security update” or a “bug fix,” it mostly just slows down the PC without giving us any new features to make up for it. It is very difficult to be patient when you turn on your PC only to see “Windows is updating” yet again. Some might say “just turn off updates,” but that isn’t a solution because apps will stop working and you risk getting a virus. After a year of using Linux, here is why I chose it over Windows

Reasons Why I Switched to Linux

1. Performance

Linux doesn’t have the heavy background processes that Windows does. This means your computer actually uses its power for the apps you are running, not for the operating system’s hidden tasks.

2. Fast Updates

Linux updates are incredibly fast and rarely require a reboot. You can update your entire system while you are still using it, and it won’t take over your screen or hold your computer hostage for 30 minutes.

3. Less Resources

While Windows 11 can idle at 4GB of RAM or more, many Linux versions use less than 1GB. This breathes new life into older PCs and makes high-end PCs run even faster because the OS stays out of the way.

4. Security

Because of how Linux handles permissions, it is much harder for a virus to spread. You don’t need to install heavy third-party antivirus software that further slows down your system, as the core design is much more secure.

5. Customization

In Windows, you are stuck with the look Microsoft gives you. In Linux, you can change everything. You can make it look like a Mac, keep it classic, or build a unique interface that fits exactly how you want to work.

Final Thought:
